In this episode, host Danielle Palli discusses the invisible woman. Unfortunately, we live in a society that often glorifies youthfulness while diminishing older adults. Media messages encourage older women to buy age-defying products and resort to plastic surgery, only to mock women for “trying too hard” to appear young. In a recent study conducted by the Media Diversity and Social Change Initiative, leading men surpass leading women 3:1 in Academy award-winning movies, and women over 40 are absent in those roles.
