E - Pet by Akwaeke Emezi

Episode 5 has Alyx and Alice discussing Pet by Akwaeke Emezi. A thought-provoking YA novella set in an idyllic future where monsters are supposedly a thing of the past. But Jam learns things may not be as perfect as they seem when a creature named Pet emerges from her mother’s painting and starts a hunt for the last monster left in Lucille.
