Bill shares insights into his research process for incorporating folklore and mythology into his stories and reflects on his work with DC characters like Tim Drake's Robin and the supernatural heroes of Shadowpact. We also explore his approach to writing morally complex characters, ,the creative challenges of reimagining established heroes in the steampunk world of Legenderry, and how his background as an artist influences his collaboration with other creators.

    We're delivering the fireworks early, as we sit down with acclaimed artist Terry Dodson to explore his remarkable 30+ year career! From the early days breaking in during the 90s to his current collaboration with Matt Fraction on the pulp-inspired Adventureman, Terry opens up about developing his signature style, his creative partnership with wife Rachel, and the challenges of drawing some of comics' most beloved characters including Wonder Woman, Spider-Man, and Harley Quinn. We dive deep into his approach to character design, discuss memorable projects with Mark Millar and Kevin Smith, and get the inside story on everything from redesigning Count Chocula to the visual storytelling complexities of Adventureman's multiple timelines. Terry also shares insights into his collaborative process with top-tier writers and gives us a preview of what's coming up in Adventureman: Family Tree.

He discusses how his approach balanced the whimsical magic of Billy Batson's world with more contemporary storytelling sensibilities, creating a version of Captain Marvel that honored C.C. Beck's original vision while establishing new mythology and supporting characters.

Marty takes us behind the scenes of one of cinema's most influential films, sharing insights into the production challenges, the infamous mechanical shark "Bruce," and the innovative filmmaking techniques that helped create a summer blockbuster phenomenon. We explore how the film's troubled production on Martha's Vineyard ultimately led to some of its greatest strengths, the collaborative process with Spielberg during his early career, and the lasting impact Jaws had on both the film industry and popular culture. We also touch on the film's legacy, its spawning of the summer blockbuster era, and what it was like being part of a movie that would become one of the most quoted and referenced films in cinema history.
