  • DWAZ #99 - "REAL TIME"
    Feb 26 2026

This week Josh, Ashley and Alan return to the exciting days of the Wilderness Years, when all sorts of things were happening to keep the Doctor Who franchise active and vital. In the early 2000s, one of the BBC's innovations was doing animated webcasts. A Cyberman story called "Real Time" was their second one, starring Colin Baker, Maggie Stables, and Yee Jee Tso. It is historically significant for a number of reasons. Let's just say ... opinions differ on how good this one is!

First, though, we have some news to get caught up on, including announcement of a new 4k release of the 1996 TV Movie!

It's one of the most contentious episodes in all of Doctor Who - and it even is amongst our three co-hosts. There's a lot of good in this episode just as much as there is bad. So we break it down and give it our fairest evaluation.

But first we dive into the recently leaked Disney+ ratings of Doctor Who ever since 2023. What do the numbers mean? Are they even real? We'll talk about it!

  • DWAZ #92 - "LOGOPOLIS" (1981)
    Oct 15 2025

"It's a new episode . . . but the moment has been prepared for." This week Ashley, Josh and Alan visit the Pharos Project to discuss the final Fourth Doctor story, "Logopolis" written by the recently departed Christopher H. Bidmead, directed by Peter Grimwade, and starring Tom Baker, Matthew Waterhouse, Sarah Sutton, Janet Fielding, and Anthony Ainley. And let me tell ya . . . this one definitely divided opinion.

But first we talk about the state of the franchise after the inexplicable Billie Piper cliffhanger and where the show might go from there, plus some possible missing episodes news!
