The most important thing to understand to beat your social anxiety is what we discuss today: "overcoming subconscious resistance".

When you don't overcome this resistance, you cannot become anxiety-free. Ever.

Lindsay Kenny, one of the only 29 EFT Founding Masters, a Life Coach, and EFT AAMET Trainer of Trainers is the expert on subconscious resistance and shares her wisdom on the podcast.

She says “If you haven’t been able to overcome your problem you have a subconscious resistance to change.”

Consciously you want to change, but your subconscious (which is much bigger than your conscious mind) says: “We’re not changing because if I go out into a social situation, I’m gonna get hurt, remember what happened last time?!”

She also guides you through an exercise to overcome this subconscious resistance easily and quickly. This is a MUST-listen.

QUOTE: Conventional psychology says “let’s desensitise you from that fear by forcing you to face it, little steps at a time where you grid your teeth and bite your finger nails, have your heart pounding and your knuckles white, and you’re just miserable doing it… And all the time your subconscious is yelling NO don’t make me do this!! Sometimes this (forcefully facing your fears) does work, but it’s so hard to do this. The simple thing is to just neutralise the subconscious resistance to changing.
