  • Five Times at Full Draw - Justin Hollandsworth on EHD, Persistence, and How to Save a Season I Ep.66
    Apr 7 2026

In September, Justin Hollandworth (@masonsdad1975) thought his season was over. EHD had hit hard, his farm was wiped out, and the plan he’d built all year was gone overnight.

What followed was one of the most frustrating—and ultimately rewarding—bowhunting seasons you’ll hear about.

Justin breaks down how he pivoted mid-season to find new ground, locate a mature buck, and stay in the game when most hunters would’ve checked out. He had this deer inside 25 yards SIX different times, made a bad hit in October, and even got busted at 5 yards on a late-season move that almost ended it all.

This episode isn’t just about killing a big buck—it’s about adapting when everything goes wrong.

    What’s inside:

    • The EHD Pivot: How to find new places to hunt when your main farm goes quiet.
    • The 6-Encounter Grind: Having a giant inside 25 yards six separate times.
    • The Low Shot: Dealing with a bad hit on October 26th and how he confirmed the buck was still alive.
    • The 5-Yard Disaster: Getting pegged at point-blank range and why he stayed disciplined at full draw.
    • The Survival Guide: Tactical advice for anyone dealing with EHD or a 'blown-up' season.
    • Philosophy: The difference between a rough season that ends well and one that just ends.

    • If you’ve ever had a season feel like it's falling apart, this one will hit home.

  • What The Bible Says About Sex, Pornography, & Intimacy in Marriage: Pastor Tadd Grandstaff I Ep.65
    Mar 21 2026

Pornography is destroying marriages before they even start, and honestly, the church has been way too quiet about it.

In this episode, I'm sitting down with Pastor Tad Grandstaff from Hope Church in North Carolina, and we're having the conversation that everybody needs to hear but nobody wants to talk about.

We discusshow pornography becomes an addiction. We talk about why it sets these completely unrealistic expectations that silently poison your marriage. And here's the thing that most people don't realize — there's a direct connection between pornography consumption and sex trafficking. It's not some abstract idea. It's real.

We also talk about how unchecked lust leads to adultery, broken families, and destroyed lives. But here's the good news — we don't just talk about the problem. We talk about what God actually designed sex to be. And I'm telling you, it's so much better than the counterfeit the world is selling.

There is a real evil; and deception & addiction are some of the primary tools it uses to destroy your life.

This episode is the most important one I have put out. Listen now. Share it. And let's stop avoiding the conversations that matter.

  • Bowhunting, Values, & Living by Your Non-Negotiables w/ Danny Bolton I Ep 64
    Mar 5 2026

I’m coming off Winterstrong at Sorinex Outdoors and I am extremely grateful to have Danny Bolton join me. Danny is one of those rare guys who does epic things all the time. When you sit with him, though, the thing that hits you first is not all of his accomplishments but Danny's humility. It is a rare quality in today's society and it really drew me toward having this conversation with him.

Our shared experience at Winterstrong immediately pulled Danny Bolton and me into a deeper topic: what it looks like to live by your non‑negotiables when real opportunities show up—especially the brand/work decisions that can either align with your values or quietly sell them off.

From there, we talk about the bowhunting life, integrity, and why your choices matter even more when you realize your kids are watching—learning what you truly believe by what you’re willing (or not willing) to compromise.

    In this episode, we cover:

--How Danny evaluates brands and work opportunities without cutting corners

Defining your values and sticking to them when it costs you something

-The link between bowhunting, discipline, and character

-The legacy Danny wants to build—and what he hopes his kids learn by watching his decisionsLeadership as a byproduct of consistency, not talk

Rare is the man with this many notches on his bow who deflects attention to the greatness of others. Danny is one of those men.

  • Inside the Mind of an Elite QB Coach: Talent, Leadership & Faith w/ Denny Thompson I Ep 63
    Feb 19 2026

Denny Thompson has coached some of the most elite quarterbacks in the country — but what separates good from great goes far beyond arm talent.

In this episode, we break down how Denny identifies and develops elite QBs, what traits truly matter at the highest levels, and why leadership and character always outlast raw ability.

We also dive into the origin of the Built 4 More podcast with Joby Martin — how it started, what it stands for, and why the message resonates far beyond football.

Denny shares how his faith in Jesus saved his marriage, reshaped his priorities, and now guides the way he coaches, leads, and lives.

This isn’t just a football conversation.

It’s about identity, redemption, leadership, and becoming who you were created to be.

  • The Real Hunt: Christian Schauf on Integrity, Empty Tags, and Honest Hunting
    Feb 5 2026

In this episode, I sit down with Christian Schauf to talk about something most hunters don’t post about — not filling a tag. Christian opens up about his recent elk hunt, choosing to be transparent on Instagram about coming home empty, and why integrity matters more than highlight reels.

We dig into what hunting is really supposed to give us, the difference between authentic pursuit and curated social media success, and why honesty in the process matters — especially in a world where big bulls, private ranches, and selective transparency dominate the feed.

This conversation isn’t about judging how someone hunts. It’s about asking ourselves why we hunt, what we’re chasing beyond trophy's, and whether we’re willing to be honest when the outcome doesn’t go our way.

Because sometimes the real win isn’t punching a tag — it’s walking away with your integrity intact

  • My Illinois Buck Wasn’t a Magum, Hammer, or a Toad.…Here's How I Actually Feel About It I Ep. 59
    Dec 11 2025

This episode is just me being straight about my Illinois rut hunt. I shot a smaller 8-point. He wasn’t a hammer, a magnum, or anything people are gonna freak out about online but the hunt was really an amazing experience after I parsed it out over the last few weeks. I achieved some things that were breakthroughs for me and that was important.

The problem lies not in what happened, but how I perceived it as it was happening and even for a while after it happened. I really did struggle with comparing myself to guys on Instagram where it looked like another 170 was dropping every 30 minutes. Not only did it make me second guess myself after I took the shot, but I was initially embarrassed and considered not posting anything about it.

That's the shame. I accomplished something really big for my journey and I was embarrassed about sharing it. Social media has really messed with our heads as hunters — making us second-guess hunts we’d normally be pumped about, and compare ourselves to guys hunting managed farms or doing this for a living. Most of us aren’t in those situations, and that pressure gets into your decision-making if you let it.

This the best advice I heard this offseason: “You can’t get good at killing big deer if you don't get good at killing deer.” There is a lot that goes into that and I talk about what that means to me. That was in my mind when this buck walked in. I needed the rep. I needed to execute a real shot on a real animal instead of sitting around waiting for a 170 that may never show and then going back into my yard and pounding foam again.

This episode is just an honest look at where I’m at as a hunter right now, what I’m working on, and why this buck mattered to me even if he wouldn’t break the internet.
