Learn from history or you are doomed to repeat it. But some events may be impossible to avoid as momentous forces converge upon a single point in time with leaders wholly unequipped to handle them. So, are we on the precipice of going down the same road or can we swerve onto the historical off ramp and avoid ruin. Only time will tell.
