What does it look like for a church to truly follow Jesus together?

This message walks through the vision that shapes the life of Discovery Fellowship: together we follow Jesus, being transformed by Him, and living on mission to make Him known in our homes, community, and the world.

Following Jesus is not meant to happen in isolation. God changes us over time, and He calls His people to live out His mission together. When Christ is shaping our lives, our relationships, conversations, and everyday activities become opportunities to make Him known.

    Discussion Questions

    1) Why do you think following Jesus can sometimes feel like an individual journey instead of something we do together?
    2) What does it look like for Jesus to actually transform someone’s life over time?
    3) How can everyday activities or groups become places where faith conversations naturally happen?
    4) What are some practical ways you can live on mission in your home or community this week?
    5) Who has helped shape your faith, and how did their influence impact you?

  • Three Snapshots
    Mar 1 2026
As we move toward Easter, this message invites us to slow down and reflect on who Jesus is and who we are becoming. Looking at three snapshots from the life of Christ, we see a Savior who removes barriers, serves humbly, and calls His people into maturity.

If the resurrection truly changed the world, it should shape the way we live today. This sermon challenges us to ask an honest question: Are we in the picture?

    Discussion Questions

    1) When you think about preparing for Easter, what usually comes to mind? How could you prepare your heart more intentionally this year?
    2) What are some subtle barriers that might keep people from approaching Jesus or feeling welcome in church?
    3) Where is God calling you to serve right now, even if it feels inconvenient?
    4) What does spiritual maturity look like in everyday life, not just in knowledge but in action?
    5) Who are the specific people in your life God may be calling you to love and serve this week?

  • Who Cares?
    Feb 22 2026
That question is not meant to be cynical. It is meant to be personal. In this message, we were reminded that the church exists for more than comfort. We are called to care, to serve, and to let Jesus be visible through our lives.

Ephesians 2 tells us we are saved by grace, but also created for good works. Service is part of our design. It strengthens us spiritually, builds up the church, and impacts the eternity of those around us.

If God is bigger than us and He lives within us, He should show.

    Discussion Questions:

    1) Where in your daily life do you have the greatest opportunity to serve others?
    2) Have you ever grown comfortable in your faith instead of active in it? What contributed to that?
    3) How does serving others strengthen your own spiritual health?
    4) Who in your sphere of influence might God be calling you to care for more intentionally?
    5) What is one practical step you can take this week to put feet on your faith?
