This week on the Couch to Creator Podcast we talk with the super talented portrait photographer Anna Neubauer about striving for more inclusivity and diversity in the Creative Industry, and the whole world.
Named Adobe Rising Star of Photography in 2021, Anna has worked with clients like Condé Nast, Canon, Yoto, Abercrombie & Fitch, Adobe, Harper's Bazaar and 500px/Getty Images. Her work has also been featured in international publications and media like British Vogue, The Guardian, Forbes, CNN, The Today Show, The Times, It's Nice That, Cosmopolitan, Buzzfeed, and others.
After experiencing the narrow concepts of beauty in the industry, Anna says that she is working out how to "make viewers see strength in vulnerability and rawness in imperfection and I want my work to be a bold and beautiful statement of rebellion against the confines of beauty standards"
Anna Neubauer shares her journey as a photographer and the importance of diversity and inclusion in photography and the creative industry. We also talk about narrative storytelling in photography, sharing her experiences working with children and people with disabilities and visible differences.
