    In this episode of Digging Deeper we will be discussing the 1947 Pony Express ride from Yreka to Sacramento to promote the California State and Yreka fairs. This event took place 87 years after the original Pony Express delivered mail from St. Joseph, Missouri to Sacramento, California. Some 1,800 miles that took 10 days to ride.
