Deuteronomy 5 records Moses restating the Ten Commandments to Israel before they enter the Promised Land. The law shows that God’s people need a heart that truly fears Him, as outward promises alone are not enough. The commandments call Israel to reflect God’s character in truth, worship, and relationships, showing that bearing His name means faithfully representing Him before the world.
