Detroit collective offers microgrants to 10 community groups for Black Philanthropy Month

The Soul of Philanthropy Michigan (TSOP) is offering 10 microgrants totaling more than $15,000 to nonprofit groups and block clubs in the metro Detroit area. Today on "The Metro," TSOP Michigan Steering Committee Chair Nikia Washington joins the show along with a microgrant recipient to discuss the program. Also on the show, Vice President of the Virginia Park Block Club Jody Wise discusses the reconstruction of the block's historic brick-paved street.
