  • Chapter 8 - Feasting on Life

    As we celebrate the 4th of July, let's remember that true freedom isn't just found in fireworks and barbecues, but in feasting on the beauty of life with a heart rooted in gratitude.

    Today, we’re talking about Chapter 8 of my Delay and Pray® book, a chapter that's all about one of the most joyful and misunderstood parts of our fasting rhythm: the feast.

    We'll walk through the Eat Fast Feast cycle and consider a new mindset around feast days. Instead of binging or using food to numb emotions, true feasting becomes a deliberate, sacramental, moderate, and joyful act of honoring God.

    I encourage you to embrace the true freedom found in Christ - the freedom to enjoy food without being enslaved by it.

    Because here’s the truth: our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and how we treat them matters. And in today’s culture, that sacred space is under attack … from the inside out.

    Sugar will never satisfy. But the abundant life of Jesus will. This week’s episode might just change how you think about digestion, donuts, and what it means to truly “glorify God in your body” (1 Cor 6:19-20).
