Day 297 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. Jeremiah details Babylon's impending doom, with enemies coming to punish them for their wickedness. Despite their strength and past victories, Babylon will face a downfall so complete that no one will ever live there again. The nation that was once a golden cup in God's hand, leading others astray, will now face retribution.

Paul warns Timothy about difficult times in the last days when people will be selfish, greedy, boastful, and against God. They'll look religious but deny the true power of godliness. Paul tells Timothy to steer clear of them. He then contrasts this with his own faithful example and the persecutions he endured. Paul emphasizes the importance of the Scriptures – given by God and super useful for teaching, correcting, and equipping believers for every good work.
