Day 290: Judas Maccabeus Dies (2025)

Fr. Mike guides us through Judas Maccabeus' last battle, his death, and his succession. We learn that part of Judas and Jonathan's victory involved fighting fellow Jews living in the land who were not living according to God's laws. Fr. I appreciate that the podcast provides the website to obtain the complete reading plan, so that I can follow along. I find myself listening in the car to the full podcast, then going back later in the day and reading what I listened to in the podcast. Sometimes Father Mike is a little fast in his speaking, however, he is very clear and understandable, and he annunciates very well. Just as I am writing this, it occurs to me that I may be able to slow that down in my app, which is something I will look into. I even keep this podcast on when my 15-year-old is in the car, because Father Mike is so relatable to teens as well. Thank you! You have made my dedication to reading my Bible more often easier!
