  • Centering Prayer: Embracing Stillness and God's Presence in a Noisy World
    Apr 18 2025

Welcome to the Daily Living for Christ podcast. In this powerful episode, we introduce the ancient yet deeply relevant practice of Centering Prayer—a silent, contemplative form of prayer that opens the soul to God’s presence and action within.

Rooted in the early Christian contemplative tradition and reintroduced to the Western Church in the late 20th century, Centering Prayer is not a technique to achieve something from God, but a sacred way of consenting to His love, transformation, and divine will. Donald guides us through the biblical foundation of this practice, drawing from Matthew 6:6 and John 15:1-5, showing how Jesus invited us to a secret, abiding relationship with the Father through stillness and surrender.

    In this episode, you’ll explore:
✅ The origins and purpose of Centering Prayer in Christian tradition
✅ The four core elements of the practice: Intention, Sacred word, Consent, and Humility
✅ How silent prayer aligns with the call to “be still and know” God
✅ The connection between kenosis (self-emptying) and spiritual growth
✅ Practical guidance for starting Centering Prayer—including choosing a sacred word and managing distractions

Whether you are just beginning your contemplative journey or looking to go deeper in your prayer life, this episode will inspire you to create space for stillness, abide in God's love, and experience the fruitfulness that comes from spiritual attentiveness.

Download this episode now, and remember to follow us so you don’t miss the rest of this transformative series on sacred intention, stillness, and the contemplative path to wholeness in Christ.

  • Lectio Divina and the Living Word: Rediscovering Sacred Scripture as Spiritual Encounter
    Apr 18 2025

Welcome to the Daily Living for Christ podcast. In this episode, we begin a transformative journey into an ancient Christian practice—Lectio Divina, or “sacred reading.” This timeless spiritual discipline invites us to slow down, be present, and engage with the Word of God in a deeply personal and reverent way.

Donald shares the powerful impact Lectio Divina has had in his life, including a visit to the Prince of Peace Abbey, a Benedictine monastery in California, where silence, stillness, and Scripture created a tangible experience of God’s peace. Rooted in monastic tradition but now accessible to all believers, Lectio Divina offers more than Bible reading—it is a sacred encounter, a living dialogue with the Holy Spirit.

    In this episode, we explore:
✅ The four movements of Lectio Divina: Read, Reflect, Respond, and Rest
✅ Why the Word of God is living and active, transforming not just the mind, but the heart
✅ How reverence, silence, and presence create space for the Holy Spirit to work within us
✅ The connection between Lectio Divina, Centering Prayer, and spiritual formation
✅ Biblical encouragement to engage God’s Word as a source of life, healing, and deep communion

Whether you’re rediscovering contemplative practices or engaging them for the first time, this episode will guide you toward a richer, more intentional relationship with Scripture and the presence of God.

Download the episode now, and remember to follow us so you never miss an opportunity to go deeper in your journey of spiritual wholeness.

  • The Four Aspects of Consent - Bonus
    Mar 31 2025

Welcome back to the Daily Living for Christ podcast. I’m excited to begin a special four-part series recently planted in my spirit—a divine invitation to explore the power of spiritual intention and what I believe God is revealing to believers in this season.

On Friday, March 21, 2025, the word “intention” dropped into my heart with weight and clarity. In a conversation today, the phrase “multiplication through subtraction” emerged, another Spirit-led insight I now see deeply connected to intention. Over the next four episodes, we’ll unpack how intentional living, divine subtraction, and the presence of God are not just abstract ideas—but powerful spiritual principles rooted in Scripture and essential for transformation, growth, and kingdom multiplication.

    Here’s what’s ahead:

    1. The Power of Intention
    2. Discerning When Intention is Directed Toward God
    3. Multiplication Through Subtraction – The Paradox of Divine Increase
    4. Linking Sacred Intention to Prayer and Practicing God’s Presence
    5. The Four Aspects of Consent

Whether you're a Christian seeking deeper purpose or discerning where God is leading you next, these episodes will stir your spirit, challenge your assumptions, and realign your heart with God's greater purpose.

I pray this series speaks directly to the hearts of those God is calling to shift their intentions toward Him. Download each episode, and be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss a moment of this transformational journey.
