  • Pure Holy Incense - Incense Morning and Evening (Daily Devotional)
    Oct 7 2025
Greetings! Thank you for joining us today and it is our privilege to come to you and spend these few moments in the word and prayer. This week, we are looking at the pure and holy incense which God had instructed the high priest to offer in the holy place at the altar of incense to Him. We read about all the details in Exodus chapter 30. What I want to highlight today is from Exodus chapter 30, verses 7 and 8, where God said, the priest would have to offer this, morning and evening every day. Think about this, every day, you bring this incense the way God prescribed it and you burn it/ put fire to it at the altar of incense, evening and morning; every day the priest had to do it. Now, there is rich meaning for us as New Testament believers. Of course, we are not doing this literally in the natural but what God is telling us is that we offer to Him our sacrifice of worship, praise, prayer, intercession morning and evening. In fact, the New Tetsament teaches us to do it without ceasing, at all times, that we offer our sacrifices. There is this incense that is continually going up before God, nonstop, continuous worship and prayer before God. We are called to do that in the New Testament, let us pray without ceasing all the time. Doesn’t matter where we are, we don’t have to be in a certain physical place or location but from our hearts there is this incense always burning or going up before God throughout the day, morning and evening, always being offered up, up to God. What a beautiful picture of what God desires from us as a holy and royal priesthood, that there is always this incense, this sacrifice, this boldness of prayer, with intercession for the needs and the purity of praise and worship being offered up to God continuously from our hearts, that is what we are called to do. So, let us pursue that, that from our altars of incense, there will always be incense going up before God. Let us pray, Father, we ask that you will help us to maintain this, morning and evening and throughout the day, all the time, incense being offered up from the altars of our hearts to you, of worship, of prayer, of sacrifice, of intercession always. We thank you, in Jesus’ name, Amen. Thank you for tuning in to Living Supernaturally, for more resources to strengthen your spiritual walk, please visit apcwo.org. • Pure Holy Incense - Ingredients for Incense - 3 (Daily Devotional)
    Oct 6 2025
Greetings and thank you so much for the opportunity to come to you and spend these few moments in the word and prayer. This week, we are looking at the pure and holy incense that God had instructed the high priest to offer in the Most holy place and trying to understand what that means for us. We mentioned that God had said that when you make that incense, there are four important ingredients you put into it in equal measure. So, they brought these four resins and blended them together and in addition to it, this is necessarily not an ingredient but part of the composition, God said there has to be salt added along with these four ingredients that make up the incense. Salt in the bible is used in other places. For instance, in Leviticus chapter 2, verse 13, it is used to talk about covenant. When people made a covenant, they made a covenant of salt or they exchanged salt as token of that covenant. Salt is used in the bible to talk about purity and preservation. We understand in Mathew chapter 5, Jesus said, you are the salt of the earth, talking about purity and preservation. So, God said, when you are making this incense, of course, it had the four important ingredients but into that salt was added, indicating to us that this incense/ sacrifice that was offered to God from the alter of incense was based upon covenant and it was based on purity and it was something that had to be preserved/ kept that way, kept in covenant and kept pure so that it could be sacred- incense that was pure and holy that was to be offered to God. Think about this, that when we go into the presence of God to offer up our incense which is our prayer and worship to God, it is based on our covenant with God and it is to be kept pure and preserved pure that way. We will talk more about this because God was very specific saying it shouldn’t be in any way contaminated, nothing strange offered. So, the incense that we offer, the worship and prayer we offer to God is based on our covenant with God, the relationship that undergirds this offering and it is kept pure, preserved and protected and our worship of God must be kept sacred, holy and pure incense. So, may we maintain this in our own lives of worship and prayer before God, understanding how God wants us to worship and engage in prayer in His presence. Let’s close in prayer, Father, we thank you for the insights we gain from what you have given your people in the Old Testament. We thank you that as we offer our incense to you, it is based on covenant and you have called us to keep it pure and preserve it pure and sacred as unto you. Help us to do this, in Jesus’ name, Amen. • Pure Holy Incense - Ingredients for incense - 1
    Oct 4 2025
Greetings and thank you so much for joining us today on Living Supernaturally. It is always our joy to be able to come to you and spend time in the word and in prayer. This week, we are going to go back into the Old Testament once again and we are going to look at the pure and holy incense which the Lord had instructed the high priest to offer to Him every day in the Most Holy place. The high priest would come and offer the incense in the morning and evening, day and night in the presence of God. This carries a lot of meaning for us as New Testament believers because we know that incense in the Old Testament is speaking to us of prayer and worship. As New Testament believers, we are called to offer this up unto God. In the book of Revelation chapter 5 and 8, we see that incense is used to represent the wordship and the prayer that goes upon before the throne of God as the saints offer this to the Lord. So, we want to take a little deeper look at this pure and hoy incense that God wanted the high priest to offer in the holy place. We will look at the ingredients and instructions that God gave concerning the incense. God was very specific. There were four main ingredients that were used to make this incense all in equal amounts, telling us that these four ingredients should be part of what we offer to God equally, that means they are all equally important. We read about this in Exodus chapter 30, verses 34 to 38. Verse 34 says, ‘And the Lord said to Moses: “Take sweet spices, stacte and onycha…’ Stacte which was a resin that came from the myrrh tree and myrrh in the bible we recognize represents purity and sacrifice. When the wise mean brought gifts to Jesus, there was gold, frankincense and myrrh- myrrh representing the sacrifice. Myrrh was used for embalming in the bible times. The second composition of that incense was another resin – onycha which according to Rabbinic traditions or the Rabbis, for them it represented boldness and authority. So, we are looking at two of the four ingredients today, the first one was a resin called stacte which was taken from myrrh representing sacrifice. The other one representing boldness and authority. When we come before God in the Most Holy place, as we are offering up worship and prayer, what should it be composed of? There is sacrifice and also boldness, authority or confidence in our offer of worship and prayer in the Most Holy place. We will continue this tomorrow. Let’s pray together, Father, we thank you that you have called us to offer up pure and holy incense to you, to offer up our sacrifices, prayers and worship with boldness, confidence, with the authority you have given to us. We thank you that as believers we can engage in this manner in offering up our sacrifices to you, in Jesus’ name, Amen. • Firm Foundations - Continuing the Journey (Daily Devotional)
    Oct 3 2025
Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much once again for giving us this opportunity to minister God’s word and spend a few moments in prayer. We are wrapping us this week on firm foundations and today, we will be talking on continuing the journey. 1 Timothy chapter 4, verses 7 through 8, ‘I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.’ Once we have committed our life to Christ, there should be no turning back. If we think about it, there is nothing really to turn back to. Despite of this truth, there is an epidemic of believers who drop out of the race during failures. Many begin well but finish poorly. It can be a gradual erosion through a series of small compromises or a sudden departure. But a number of things can divert us from the course on which we have been called to run. The Lord lovingly uses trials and adversity in a variety of creative ways in our lives and part of that is to enable us to run to Him and get our dependance from Him. As God’s children, our pain causes us to ask, seek, knock and in His time, God responds by revealing more of Himself to us. This personal knowledge increases our faith and our capacity to trust in His character and promises. Only as we experientially realize that we cannot survive without God, we will be willing to submit to His purposes in the midst of affliction. A growing faith involves trusting God through tough times and the times we don’t understand His purposes and His ways. Tribulation plays a significant role in clarifying hope because it can force us to see the bigger picture. When we view God’s character in the light of our circumstances, we come to see that God is never different to us and that He uses our suffering for our good so that we will be closer and more united to Christ. Those who finish well maintain an ongoing, learning posture through their seasons of life. A smug, self-satisfied attitude causes people to decline on the learning curve. Humility and obedience are the key to maintaining a teachable spirit. If any of us could be transported to heaven for a 5-minute visit, we would never be the same after we returned to earth. For the first time, we would have had a true perspective on the frailty and brevity of life on earth and the absurdity of giving our hearts to things that doesn’t even last. A secret of those who finish well is to focus more on Jesus than on focusing on avoiding sin. The more we love Jesus, the more we will learn to put our confidence in Him. Let us pray, Father, we thank you for your word that is so clear, that we are to live not for the things of this world. So, even as we continue on in this journey as believers, just as Paul said, ‘I have finished the race, I have kept the faith,’ Lord, enable us to see the bigger picture. Enable and empower us to run this race with confidence and boldness knowing that you are there with us. We thank you for this entire week and everything you have taught us, we commit ourselves into your hands, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. • Firm Foundations - Living a Life of Faith (Daily Devotional)
    Oct 2 2025
Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity to spend a few moments in God’s word and in prayer. Today, we will talk about living a life of faith. Romans chapter 1, verse 17, ‘For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.’ This verse emphasizes that living a righteous life is founded on faith and trusting in God’s revealed truth. What is faith? Have you ever stopped to ponder on that question? For many of us, it is word we have grown up to hearing in Sunday school classes, church services, children’s songs, but a biblical understanding of faith is essential for a Christian life. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. God didn’t mean Christianity to just be a mere religion but it is a lifestyle of faith. So, what does it mean to live of faith? Is God talking about a one-time decision to place your faith in His Son for salivation or is it more? Living by faith applies to the past, present and future for a Christian life. It means believing in what Christ did on the cross, what He is doing now in each of our lives and what He will do in the future. Christ’ death and resurrection is the foundation for a life of faith. It is the beginning of a journey of trusting the Lord Jesus for everything we need. God’s grace through faith in the finished work of the cross brings eternal life. This belief affects our everyday lives. It stretches us and deepens our dependance on God as we learn that we cannot live the Christian life perfectly. We still sin, we stumble, fall and sometimes mess up but by faith, we can repent and keep going, trusting that God is molding and changing us into the image of His Son. Finaly, living by faith means looking forward with hope and assurance that one day, we will be free from the presence of sin and Christ will return for His bride. This belief brings a joyful and abundant life despite suffering. It reminds us that our life here on earth is not our own. It causes us to long for heaven and to live on behalf of Christ. Faith in what is to come, gives our lives a sense of peace and urgency. Here are five benefits to a lifestyle of faith. You develop an intimate relationship with our Father in heaven. Material things become less important. Worry disappears from our life. You prosper in every area of your life. The miraculous seems to follow you everywhere. Faith permeates every part of our life as it deepens and grows. This is what it means to live by faith. Let us pray, Father, we thank you for your word that has taught us today that the just shall live by faith. We pray that even as we continue this journey of walking with you, that we will build our foundations on faith, we will stand on faith knowing what you have done for us, the power of the cross and what you can do in our lives. We commit ourselves to you. Help us to live and walk in faith, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. • Firm Foundations - Resilience in Adversity (Daily Devotional)
    Oct 1 2025
Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity to come your way, share God’s word and to spend a few moments in prayer. This week, we have been talking about firm foundations and what are the foundations that we need to develop for our lives as believers. Today, we will look at resilience in adversity. Romans chapter 8, verse 28, ‘And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.’ Resilience from a biblical perspective is not merely about bouncing back from adversity. It is about standing firm in the faith and trusting God’s plan in our lives. No matter what challenges we face, we can be encouraged that God is with us, renewing our strength and leading us to victory. In life, we will all encounter storms, those challenging moments that test our resilience and strength. As a Christian, we believe that God equips us to face difficulties with courage and perseverance. Take Joseph as a case study. His journey from the pit to the palace exemplifies resilience as he clung to God’s promises, emerging stronger through trials. Joseph, the favored son among the brothers is adorned in the colorful coat given to him by his father. Yet, this favoritism fueled jealousy and led to betrayal by his siblings. Cast into a pit, sold into slavery, falsely accused, Joseph’s journey epitomizes the depths of hardship. Despite these trials, Joseph clung to his faith and trust in God, exemplifying the essence of resilience. In the pit, Joseph’ spirit remained unbroken. Rather than succumbing to bitterness or despair, he maintained an unwavering trust in God’s plan. This steadfastness allowed him to navigate through the challenges as he faced as a slave in Potiphar’ house and in prison. Jospeh’ resilience didn’t entail mere survival; it encompassed maintaining his integrity and faith amid the injustice. The turning point in Jospeh’ story occurs when he interprets Pharoah’ dream, showcasing God’s favor and wisdom. Joseph’ ascent from the prison to the palace reflects not only a divine orchestration of event but also a transformative power of resilience. Through Jospeh’ resilience, God elevated him to a position of influence where he played a pivotal role in not only preserving Egypt but also his family during the severe famine. Resilience from a biblical standpoint involves trusting God’s overarching plan even when the present situations and circumstances seem unsurmountable. It is about maintaining faith and integrity, allowing God to weave a beautiful tapestry among the thread of trials. Like Joseph, we may not comprehend the full scope of God’s plan amid trials but we trust that He is working together for our good. Resilience then becomes a journey of spiritual growth, a refining process where our character aligns more closely with the image of Christ. Let us pray, Father, we thank you for your word and what we learn from your word. As we looked at the example of Joseph, many of us maybe in the midst of a challenging situation. We pray that you will empower us with resilience, not to look at the situation and crumble but to look at your word and know that you are in control over every situation, that in all things, you make everything work together for our good. We thank you for your promises, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. Thank you for tuning in to Living Supernaturally, for more resources to strengthen your spiritual walk, please visit apcwo.org. • Firm Foundations - Seeking God's Counsel and Guidance (Daily Devotional)
    Oct 1 2025
Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much once again for giving us this opportunity to spend a few moments in God’s word and in prayer. Today, we will talk about seeking God’s counsel and guidance. Psalm chapter 32, verse 8, ‘I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.’ The biblical characteristic of guidance speaks to the divine direction and wisdom that God offers for those who seek His will. Throughout the bible, God is depicted as a guiding light, leading His people through complex situations of life, whether it is a major decision or life choices, seeking and recognizing God’s guidance is essential for a life aligned with His purposes. King David often turned to God for guidance, recognizing that human wisdom was limited compared to God’s omniscience. Receiving and recognizing God’s guidance requires a heart that is attuned to His voice and a willingness to follow His leading. Here are a few things that we could do to receive and recognize God’s guidance. One, prayerful attitude - we begin with an attitude of prayer and surrender. Approach decisions with a mindset that you want God’s will above your own. Two, seek God’s word - the bible is a rich source of wisdom and guidance, regularly read, meditate on the scripture and align your thoughts to God’s principles. Three, listen to the Holy Spirit, be attentive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit within you. Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit will guide all the believers to the truth. Four, seek counsel, seek advice from wise and godly individuals seeking insights on those who are grounded in their faith. Five, wait patiently - patience is the key to discerning God’s timing and guidance. Six, learning from past experiences, reflect on times when God has guided you in the past. This can serve as a reminder of His faithfulness and direction. Lastly, stay humble- approach guidance with humility, recognizing that God’s ways are higher than ours. Seeking and recognizing God’s guidance is a journey of faith, prayer and discernment. May we continually seek God’s direction and trust His leading in our journey ahead. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you that you have called us to walk in your will. Thank you for your Holy Spirit that leads and guides us. We pray that you will continue to walk with us in this journey and help us to build strong foundations and to apply these principles in our life. We know that when we do this, we will be fruitful and we will be able to fulfill your purposes in our lives, we thank you, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
