The Law of the Lord Is Perfect

Psalms 19:1-14

When David looked up to the heavens, he could hear God speaking to him through creation. When David looked into the law of God, God was speaking to him through his word. It’s a wonderful joy when you hear the voice of God. That’s exactly why Jesus Christ came to deliver us from sin. Jesus said, “If I go not away, the comforter will not come.” Praise God, the comforter has come to be our guide through this life until we reach Heaven’s shore. Take time today to hear God‘s voice.

I will love thee is the first words of this psalm. David’s love was more than a feeling. It was more than just a fact. He loved God fervently because he knew him personally. Many know about God, but don’t know him personally. That’s why so many people remained in their hopelessness, their sorrow, and pain because they don’t cry out to God like David did. You and I have an opportunity to trust Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Cry out to him today and be changed forever. Amen.

King David refused to even mention the name of false gods, he did not want to defile his lips

Oh that our lips were pure as his, sounding forth praises unto the Lord our God.

“He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart”

Our walk needs to be upright. Our work needs to be righteous, and our words need to be true. The only way that this can happen is through the Lord Jesus Christ because his walk was upright. His works were righteous, and his words were true. Let us today yield to our Savior, Jesus Christ.

The Fool Says, There Is No God

Psalms 14:1-7

The fruit of the fool is worthless. The words of a fool are corruptible. The deeds of a fool are destructive. The thoughts of a fool are foolish because he has said there is no God. If you have no God, you have no hope. You have no salvation. You have no grace, and you have no goodness. Trust in the Lord Jesus today. Trust in his grace. Trust in his goodness. And exalt his greatness. Amen.

How Long, O Lord?

Psalms 13:1-6

The reality of sorrow: David had sorrow because others were persecuting him, but David did not wait for his sorrow to pass to trust in God’s mercy, to rejoice in salvation, and to sing unto the Lord. Oh, what a lesson for us to learn here: get back on your feet, look up to heaven, praise God, give glory to God. He will hear your prayer. He will heal your sorrowful heart.
