Clearly, James Dolan is up to his old games of meddling with things that should be left alone.
Stuff like firing Tom Thibodeau without a clear plan for who would take over—a move more typical of a franchise that didn’t even come close to making the playoffs, not one that had just reached the Eastern Conference finals for the first time in 25 years.
More than a month has passed, and the Knicks finally announced they had officially hired Mike Brown as their new head coach, bringing in the two-time NBA Coach of the Year to succeed Thibs.
Brown is a more offensive-minded coach than Thibs and certainly is a good hire, considering they had no succession plan in place when Thibs got canned.
