    Within a week of meeting on a dating app, mum of one Katherine Smith and Anthony Lowe were engaged. The rapid pace of their relationship startled Katherine's family and friends. All Katherine’s family knew of Lowe came from his dating profile and they had no way of verifying this information. Within a few months, their worst fears were realised when police found Katherine's dead body.

    Kerry Wooley was a loving mum with a high-flying career, but it all came crashing down when she began to struggle with alcohol dependency. Suffering from crippling loneliness, Kerry found company in Ian Bennet, a local man who went to the same school as Kerry. But, within weeks of their meeting, Kerry was found dead in her own home.

  • Coercive control: Dawn Walker’s family
    Oct 23 2023

    Dawn Walker met Thomas Nutt over Facebook in 2018. Described by her family as ‘free-willed and strong’, Dawn was drawn to the initially charming Nutt. Very quickly though, he became controlling and jealous, even going so far as to physically attack Dawn’s daughter when she confronted him about his behaviour. However, the worst was yet to come. Within hours of exchanging vows at the altar, Nutt brutally hid Dawn's dead body in the suitcase meant for their honeymoon.
