Cults Suck

The old saying, "there's a sucker born every minute", is sometimes very apt when it comes to cults. But, who's doing the sucking? The cult or the cult member? Both? The scam of cults is that they offer may perks if you join; a sense of community and belonging, a feeling of superiority over people not in the cult, a feeling that you are one of the chosen ones, getting away with horrible crap and getting to feel all righteous and holy about it, and, finally, the comforting feeling of knowing that big daddy leader will take care of everything for you.
