A person's complete and total wellness is much more than just physical health, exercise and nutrition. How "well" we are is a multidimensional approach that includes: spiritual, physical, emotional, financial, occupational, intellectual, environmental and social elements.True wellness is an on-going pursuit of continued growth and balance of all 8 components of wellness. Properly addressing these components not only contributes to our own sense of wellness and quality of life, but also overlaps with others. Collectively, as healthy individuals, we form healthy communities. It is important to note that at various times of our lives, certain dimensions of wellness may be more prominent than others. For this reason, it is important for us to understand each dimension. The Heal The Public Collective is a group of health, finance, law and policy professionals committed to address topics and have crucial conversations that ultimately help us heal as individuals and as a community as a whole. Healing one segment of the population in the United States and abroad, helps heal the entire nation. The Heal The Public Collective was founded on the premise that it will take understanding, collaboration, policy creation and implementation from people of all walks of life to see true and sustainable equity for not only Black Americans, but all community groups who are or have been victimized or discriminated against. Collectively we take a stand against interpersonal, institutional, internalized, systematic and structural discrimination and racism in all of it's forms to ultimately Heal The Public.Dr. Jasel Martin Ciencias Sociales
