    In the summer of 1969, Stephanie Casberg walked out the front door of a Milwaukee restaurant after her waitressing shift — and was never seen alive again. Days later, her dismembered remains were found near a condemned bridge along the Root River, leaving investigators with a chilling conclusion: the work of someone methodical, skilled and patient.

    More than five decades later, the case has led detectives from a co-worker who lied his way into the narrative to a convicted child predator who terrorized his family by claiming to be the killer. More recently, a Crime Junkie episode playing through a detective's earbuds while he mowed his lawn added a new name to the case file.

    On the heels of our investigation into Laura Sweetman’s death, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office fulfilled our FOIA request, providing new audio files—including recordings of Laura arguing with her estranged husband, Dave, and deputies’ interview with him. Laura was found dead in her Gilbert, Arizona bathtub in December 2013, and despite early red flags, her case was ruled undetermined and quietly closed. I love this podcast, I've listened to it on multiple platforms (mainly Spotify and Google Podcasts) and try to leave a good review on all of them. They go into a lot of detail and try to give multiple angles to each case. Great for my commute into work!

Crime Junkie is an excellent true crime podcast that feels like you're sitting down with a couple of friends and hashing out cases. I love that Crime Junkie discusses a variety of cases including murder, missing persons, and unsolved cases. Ashley and Brit treat each case with care and respect realizing that at the end of the day these cases are of real people. These stories are not told purely to entertain. These are victims who deserve justice and the tragedy of these events are shared to educate, to bring awareness, and even provide a little hope.

I have been a long time listener and was looking for something new. I tried out Crime Junkies patreon and enjoyed ALL of the bonus episodes. I highly recommend!!

Crime Junkie is the gold standard. Ashley Flowers is a phenomenal story teller. I love that she & Brit get right to the point, there is no wasted off-topic dialogue. And these two ladies do a lot of good for victims & their families. I’ve devoured a lot of TC content and it just doesn’t get any better!

I love the way they speak. They stay on track and tell the story in a way that keeps you interested in the story but doesn't slow you down like a lot of my other favorite podcasts. I binged so quickly then signed up for patreon and am now waiting impatiently for every new episode! They are amazing!
