Episode Summary

The high cost of textbooks is one of the factors that affects student learning outcomes and student success. Students avoid certain classes, drop a class, or do poorly when they cannot afford the text for a course. Learn a bit about one instructor's journey creating an OER at Illinois, and why she's working on her second! All this (and more!) OER activity is supported by the Open Textbook Incentive Program at the University Library. Check out their webpage for details on funding applications and additional examples.
