About the Guest Maria Riegger is based in the Washington, DC area. She is a banking/corporate attorney as well as author and TEDx speaker. She is a certified Inner Child Reparenting Coach and NLP practitioner. A rocky childhood, including the death of a parent, led Maria to consider how to be a better parent in a crazy world. In short, more laughs and positive connections and less dictating and criticizing.

Parents should parent with the child's particular needs in mind, rather than the parents' ego needs. In helping parents work on their self-improvement, Maria discovered themes of procrastination, people pleasing, and poor boundaries. Maria draws on her legal and corporate background and her trauma-informed training to speak on topics including optimizing productivity, defeating procrastination, and eliminating defensive behaviors to help professionals prevent burnout and achieve their goals while raising healthy, independent kids. Contemporary romance and romantic suspense, with plenty of sarcasm.
