In the isolated, fog-covered town of Dürmberg, nestled deep in the Bavarian countryside, Father Jacob is a man slowly losing his grip on both reality and his soul. Once a devout servant of God, the priest’s faith has crumbled under the weight of an ancient, malevolent presence that has plagued the town for centuries—an evil that now holds him in its thrall. This force, far older than the church itself, has manipulated Father Jacob’s mind, turning him into a vessel for its insidious hunger. The entity, bound by a pact of old, demands the purest form of sacrifice: the souls of innocent children. Father Jacob’s rituals begin innocently enough, masked by his solemn appearance and compassionate facade. He uses his position as a trusted cleric to lure children—vulnerable, lonely, and often abandoned by their families—into his church. At first, he tells the parents that their children are in need of "spiritual cleansing" or "protection" from unseen forces, convincing them that the church can save them. The children are eager to please their parents, unaware that the sanctuary they are entering is anything but holy. Inside the darkened church, the atmosphere grows thick with an oppressive, unholy energy. The walls, once adorned with comforting symbols of faith, have begun to warp under the weight of the dark force, twisting into grotesque shapes that resemble monstrous figures and demonic faces. Father Jacob’s ritual begins with a series of chants in a forgotten tongue—words that have not been spoken for centuries but carry with them the weight of unspeakable horror.
