Courage that Counts: Joshua 1: 1-9

After the death of Moses, Israel stands on the edge of promise and uncertainty. In Joshua 1:1–9, God speaks into a moment of transition, calling Joshua to step forward in faith, courage, and obedience. This passage reveals that God’s promises do not expire with leadership changes, and His presence goes with His people wherever He sends them. As Joshua is commissioned to lead, we hear God’s repeated command: “Be strong and courageous.” Not because the road ahead will be easy, but because the Lord Himself will go before them.
