In this episode we are taking you a bit back, to the Keha festival 2025 - where Timo talked to Signe Levä, an performing artist and dancer from Finland.
They talked about her work HANDS, an intimate dance of hands, a concert of touch and friction, a wind from one skin to another. A salute, farewell, love and appreciation for her further disabling hands and fingers.
It is a very intimate, touching performance which Signe describes: "In this piece I stimulate the sensorial experiences I practise, to someone else, to another body, as my hands can be on both sides of the person at the same time, providing sensory stimulation; airflow, sound, warmth. Visually arriving at one’s gaze from both sides of the field of vision. The travelling of stimming hands stimulates the senses, as the senses catch the sounds, air flowing, warmth, coming from different directions, at different intensities, drawing a map of where they are."
