    No one tells you that many battles you go through, you will face it alone especially your health. No one will ever understand your pain. No one will ever understand your circumstances. You are on your own. There isn’t anyone you can open up to. Realizing with certain situations that you are on your own, can be scary, but it also gives you strength. You know you have been here before, and you will get through it. Some parts will be painful, but it will eventually fade. The storm you thought won’t pass, it passed. You are stronger and wiser, and you understand what it feels like to be alone. You are not alone, when your story can inspire others to share theirs.

    I don’t look at the new year, as just a new chapter, but finally letting go of what hurt me. Knowing I’m not second best, staying when I should have left. Not asking anyone for anything or simply to see anyone either. For years I was called heartless as well as selfish, when I gave everything. You call it forgetful, I call it forgiveness. This year I’m forgiving myself, and not asking anything from anyone anymore. No more waiting hours, days for a response. No more being stood up, lied to or giving second chances. I am done with all of it.

    Don’t act like your kind, like you know me. The toughest part is walking away from a life you once knew. Walking away from certain relationships that only drained you. I would rather hurt forever, than reopen a relationship that will never be amend. You know this moment, don’t you? Being haunt from a childhood, that had a very little of happiness. A smile to hide a painful life no one knew you had. Now living life where your anger doesn’t get tested. You no longer have control over me. I earned my achievements and you can’t take credit of it. Once a painful moment, is a life freed from pain but forever scared from the experiences. Trauma that will be carried through each year, will eventually be a scar that heals but will be forever remembered.
