Musician here. There is a lot to know about conductors - the technical, the historical, the famous and infamous, etc. It is a juicy topic! You guys missed it, you didn't even make an effort! Ask a player! Drop some names! Read some anecdotes, some figures (salary, longevity) ...As 1st time listener, I chose this title to figure out the level and you failed this subject. I like hearing about diverse subjects and want to learn. If I listen to another one, for example, about air planes, do you actually make an effort to explain stuff, or do you just chat about the exterior (well, those wings don't flap)? Music is a real science and deserves better.
