It is one of the stark realities of the world we live in today… 1 in 4 Americans serve as caregivers with millions of adults providing care for loved ones with disabilities or complex medical conditions. We discuss this with Megan O’Reilly, Vice President of Government Affairs for Health and Family at AARP. Then, nearly 40 million Americans have diabetes, and about half will develop diabetic retinopathy, the leading cause of irreversible blindness in working-age adults. Dr. Geoggrey Emmerson President, American Society of Retina Specialists shed some light on the illness.
