Local air quality is a breath of fresh air this morning with Weather Underground showing Meridian’s AQI in the healthy green range thanks to lower PM2.5 and ozone readings overnight. Pollen counts have dropped a bit after those scattered showers yesterday so those sensitive to grass and ragweed swaps can take a deeper breath on their walks or runs today.
The high school sports scene was buzzing last night as Meridian High’s girls soccer battled Centennial in a dramatic 2-1 win, with a late goal from sophomore Zoe Price clinching the match. Over at Rocky Mountain High, football hosted Eagle in a preseason scrimmage that ended in a fun, friendly 14-14 tie. Fans at both games remarked on the electric energy and were grateful for the cooler temps compared to last week’s scorching heat.
For those heading to the farmer’s market later today or tomorrow, Summit Life Chiropractic posted a vendor spotlight on Instagram highlighting local growers and wellness booths that are gearing up for a busy Thursday. Community events remain strong, with the Twin Falls County Fair just down the highway expected to pull big Meridian crowds this weekend.
