Colton Parayko SAYS NO to the Buffalo Sabres after trade with the St. Louis Blues is completed

The Buffalo Sabres and St. Louis Blues agreed on a trade that would send Colton Parayko to the Sabres in exchange for prospect defenseman Radim Mrtka and a 1st round pick, but Parayko exercised his no-trade clause to block the move. The reporting is he will only waive his clause to stay out west on a team like Anaheim or Los Angeles. How bad a look is this for the Sabres? Fans are not happy that the team still finds themselves in a situation where it's hard to convince players to come to Buffalo. Jarmo Kekäläinen very clearly is trying to make a big trade by Friday's NHL trade deadline. If it's not going to be Parayko, and it's not going to be Robert Thomas, who else is out there? Is there another Blue? What about Devils defenseman Simon Nemec? There is a very real chance the biggest trade the Sabres make is for Rasmus Ristolainen.
