  • Patreon Sneak Peek: The Mothman
    Nov 14 2025
For thirteen months from 1966 to 1967, a creature (or creatures) terrorized several small communities across Ohio and West Virginia, particularly the West Virginia town of Point Pleasant. The stories that come from witnesses to the phenomena are the stuff of nightmares, so much so that they were later made into a hit film. Was this all just a big media storm and all hogwash? Some say it was another example of mass hysteria, of people buying into a myth. Do you agree? Or will you even allow yourself to believe even a small portion of the stories to be true? Listen to our coverage to hear the history, the headlines, and the horror surrounding the Mothman. But no amount of inner strength could have saved him from the circumstances in which he found himself only three years later-- circumstances that resulted in his untimely death. Even though Cecil Gaddy’s death was ruled an accident, odd details of the crime scene and confusing details on the death certificate make us realize that this case deserves a second look. These ladies are awesome. My daughters and I love listening to this podcast. The girls are equally knowledgeable and entertaining. My biggest draw at first was the lack of profanity, which is hard to find with true crime, but now we are true fans of these two well matched friends.

Our Favorite True Crime Podcast!

The hosts have a real connection not only to each story but to each other as well. There is banter but for the most part it is not overdone. They have a real desire for these cold cases to be solved or at least kept in the public eye. A really great podcast worth subscribing to.

Love the hosts and the stories!

First and foremost let me say, I have a lot of criteria for podcasts. I almost exclusively listen to true crime, but there's so much more than just this. Banter really annoys me, and what bothers me even more than that is podcasters passing judgement. This podcast doesn't victim shame or pass judgement on the people who have committed the crimes (which I truly appreciate). If you enjoy banter, and unsympathetic people for your true crime podcasts this is not for you. But if you want to listen to two people covering unsolved true crimes that are rarely covered by other media who are compassionate and considerate wonderful storytellers who are light on banter and thorough research, this is a great place to listen!
