A podcast for and about coaches as well as those looking for and working with a coach;

I uncover the questions many coaches are asking behind closed doors - about themselves and the coaching industry, as well as questions prospective and current coachees are thinking but are wary to voice.

So that we can improve standards across the coaching industry for its reputation, and to continue to have impact well into the 22nd century.

    May 27 2021

I've personally recently turned away a client because I actually wanted to be her friend and in this episode we will be talking about personal and professional boundaries when it comes to friendships and how you can maintain those boundaries in a few different scenarios including:

    • Old friends who want to become your client
    • New friends who want to become your client
    • New connections who want to be-friend you
    • New connections who want to be your client (clearly) then friend you after
    • Friends of friends who want to pick your brain and be in informal contact with you to learn more about what you do

  • Episode 24: Can you run your online coaching business without using social media?
    May 13 2021

In this episode I'm going to explore whether or not you CAN run your online coaching business without needing to be on social media 24/7. I have personally recently been a little less active on social media because I have been focusing on delivering content to my clients and of course doing the podcast, so this week I want to share 3 tips on HOW you can run your business and be on social media a little bit less. I will cover 3 main area:

    1. Just being on social media for less time, batching content and scheduling ahead of time
    2. Interacting and sharing in more personal ways (without actively posting all the time)
    3. Leverage other methods to get in front of potential clients

Listen to the episode to learn more about how you can reduce your time spend on social media for your business with these 3 tips.

  • Special Episode: My Maternal Mental Health, on Maternal Mental Health Week 2021
    May 11 2021

In this special episode recorded and released on Maternal Mental Health week 2021 (10th - 14th May) I wanted to share some of the recent, and past, mental health struggles I've been experiencing to highlight the complexity of maternity mental health.

Please note there's a trigger/content warning for mental health, trauma and baby loss.

    Highlights of the episode include:

13:54 - It doesn't matter really what it is (the reason), it matters that it's happening

15:11 - I expected myself to be very anxious as a parent, and to my surprise that hasn't happened

13:25 - It also helps of course...Hope is such a happy baby, it makes me want to cry

16:08 - if you've ever wanted a baby full-stop, and if you've ever wanted one and gone to hell and high-water to have one, it's a joy to experience

17:02 - I would probably say my mental health support is the least (professionally) it's ever been

17:26 - I'm actually on the cusp of that (finding the right support again) - this is very fresh for me

1936: In my experience, maternal mental health issues haven't come in isolation

19:55 what I'm experiencing now IS as a result of my history and my IN ability and ABility to cope - both of those things...in addition to a heavy bought of lack of self-compassion

20:39 - this is tough because none of it's very easy to pick apart and separate

21:26 This is selfishly a place that I wanted to share some stuff that's been happening to me

In the episode I made reference to:
