    Hello, my spectral sweethearts! 👻

We open this week with Linda reliving a recent accident (don’t worry, she’s still upright) before launching into her latest travel saga — involving a very questionable restaurant/hotel combo she’s managed to book. You’ll want to bring your own cutlery... and maybe a priest.

It jogged a memory for me about my dear old parents — who once stayed in what turned out to be a full-blown brothel. Can I prove it? No. Do I need to? Absolutely not. The red lighting and mirrored ceilings said it all.

Then from Take A Break Fate & Fortune, we read a tale involving a vanishing… something. Possibly an Innuit? Possibly just an ice ghost. Either way, it’s a chilling one. That’s followed by a spooky sleepover tale that had me double-checking my cupboard doors.

Next, an email from Livvy May, who had a brush with the spirit world via an Ouija board (classic mistake). We get her on Zoom to hear the full ghostly download firsthand.

Then it’s time to solve more of your problems, spiritual and otherwise — some of them very human, some of them worryingly spectral.

We also hear from Stuart Harle in Blyth, who has a spooky story of his own, and then Barry from Watford pops up to promote the latest episode of his TalkSport podcast, Buckle Up with Barry, this time featuring Matt Berry. That’s right — actual Matt Berry, not a paranormal impersonator.

Then, it’s goodbyes all round and a track to see us out from Glowe, courtesy of Sundown Studios.

    With thanks to:

Kathrine Boyle, Livvy May, Stuart Harle, Barry from Watford, Matt Berry

And to Glowe and Sundown Studios for the final track:

Welcome back, my loves – another week, another batch of spirits, stories, and deeply questionable fashion choices.

We kick off with Linda talking about her clothes (as usual), and I admit that my everyday wardrobe is a far cry from my stagewear. Let’s just say the spiritual energy doesn’t extend to my laundry basket.

Then we’re back to Betty Boo again. I think Linda’s angling to become her tour psychic.

Spooky tales roll in fast this week:

👻 First, a chilling nursing experience from Anne Bristoe

👻 Then a ghostly moment from Dallas Weeks

👻 And a story from Chris Cairns

Plus, we get an email from Sid Jaffa – yes, that is the name provided. Whether it’s real or not, the vibes were strong.

From Fate & Fortune, we share a story about a ghost child who goes on holiday with a family. Free travel? Not bad for the undead.

Then we hear from Ari Young with a cracking ghost story of their own, followed by an email from someone in Nottingham – I’ve bleeped the name, just to be safe. They know what they did.

We’re back again with Chris Cairns for a second spooky helping, and then a return from the fabulous Sandrea Mosses for another instalment of A Day in the Afterlife. You’ll want to take notes — it’s very detailed up there.

Finally, a quick word from Barry from Watford, promoting Buckle Up with Barry, his new podcast on TalkSport. If you’ve not heard it yet, give it a search on your favourite podcast app or find it directly on TalkSport. There’s plenty of Barry nonsense to go round.

Linda’s had a promotion! Yes, she’s now in charge of… stationery. Or something. She's really climbing the ranks of spiritual admin — big time now.

Then we hear from Heath McStay, who drops us a message from the beyond (well, the inbox), before heading into the hills of Wales for a recording with Dave Granville — topped off with a spooky little addendum you’ll want to hear.

From there, it’s time for some Bitesize Shivers – first, about a therapist, and then about dreams that predict the future. Eerie stuff, and just vague enough to apply to everyone.

We chat about therapy in general. Have you ever had any? I tried once… but the spirits kept interrupting.

Then we dive into the unsettling sensation of bad vibes — you know when you walk into a room and your soul wants to moonwalk straight back out again? That.

Next, we hear from the marvellous Dilly Campbell, who’s got a spooky story of her own to share.

Then it’s back to the oracle: Take a Break Fate & Fortune gives us a proper spiritual conundrum to solve. We do our best. (No guarantees.)

And for something a bit different — a ghostly tale from none other than Fortean Times, all about Hiroshima. Powerful stuff.

We round off, as ever, with Barry from Watford, promoting the latest episode of his talkSPORT podcast Buckle Up with Barry. Spirits willing, he’ll stay on topic this time…

Welcome back, my spiritual sweethearts! 🌙

This week, Linda talks about going to see the iconic Betty Boo live—and I share a few tales of hobnobbing with 80s stars myself. The spirits of pop are alive and well! 🎤

Linda also reveals she recently bumped into a psychic who turned out to be a fan of our podcast—proof that even the spirit world needs a giggle.

Then, we get into the absolute horrors of badly behaved gig audiences. Imagine trying to channel powerful energies... while some woman is having a full-on conversation about her casserole! Honestly, what chance have I got?

Linda shares she’s got a job interview lined up—Head of Stationery, no less. Talent like that doesn’t come along every day, my loves. I just hope the pens are spiritually aligned.

We then dive into memories of the bad old days at school, and how often kids are overlooked when they have something real to say. Spirits know—some teachers could’ve used a good haunting.

Next, an email from Chloe Goodhall sparks a bit of supernatural chat, before we drift into Flight of Fancy and Astral Travel from Fate & Fortune—the idea of whizzing about on the astral plane without Ryanair getting involved.

We hear a story from Diana Levy—whom I talk to live on the line. It goes a little off the rails towards the end, but that's all part of the charm when you’re dealing with tales from beyond!

After that, it’s time for problem-solving:

🧁 A listener struggling with overeating

🤔 "Why is she so secretive?"

💔 Choosing between two men (the spirits are no help with dating either, it turns out)

Then, Barry from Watford pops up to promote Buckle Up with Barry. This week, he chats with Ally McCoist and Alan Brazil—a meeting of minds in Barry's cab. Catch Barry’s show on TalkSport or wherever you get your podcasts.

And we round out the episode with an excellent (and very real!) ghostly interview with Michaela Thorn—a spooky corker you won’t want to miss.

Welcome back, my spectral spectators! 👓👻

This week we open with Linda talking about Easter festivities and the bold decision to pick out new specs. She’s now officially seeing the world through an even more sceptical lens.

Then we’re joined via Zoom by Charlotte De’Allie, sharing her spooky story firsthand—brace yourself for goosebumps!

From there, we leap into Cornered by a Ghost from the legendary Fate & Fortune magazine. Don’t worry, we don’t just read—we act. Yes, impressions ensue. Possibly award-winning. Possibly not.

Then it’s Beyond the Veil, also from Fate & Fortune—where things get even spookier, if you can believe it.

We also hear from the wonderful Tracy Graham, returning with another story to chill the soul.

After that, it’s a flurry of problems from the magazine pile—everything from haunted to hopeless. Linda and I attempt to apply spiritual wisdom... or at least common sense.

Then comes a rather odd tangent—Katy Perry, astronauts, and the theory that we might actually be sent from the future. Listen, you’ll just have to go with us on this one.

More spooky problems follow, sparking a classic chat about holiday romances. Sun, sangria, and supernatural misunderstandings…

We then Zoom with Neil Mattocks, who shares a proper corker of a ghost story, before diving into The Face at the Window, yet another unnerving tale from Fate & Fortune.

To wrap up, we drop in a quick promo for Buckle Up with Barry, featuring Darren Bent. That’s Barry from Watford’s latest talkSPORT adventure—catch it every Friday wherever you get your podcasts.

    My spectral spectators! 🌙

We kick off this week with Linda recounting her recent end of term party at college. A wild night of fizz, dodgy nibbles and possibly a few spirits (of the liquid kind).

Then we're straight into a classic from Take a Break Fate & Fortune — the tale of a lucky duck charm. Could a tiny duck trinket really change your destiny? Well… stranger things have happened on this podcast.

We’ve also got a proper mix of spooky contributions this week, starting with an interview with Ella Gardner, who shares her eerie encounter.

More spectral nonsense from Take a Break Fate & Fortune follows — this time it’s a haunted Land Rover. Honestly, the scariest thing about that is probably the fuel consumption.

Then I’m joined by Lucy Lavery, executive producer at TalkSport, who’s got a ghostly tale of her own to share. No sports chat here — just things that go bump in the studio.

From Chat, It’s Fate magazine, we couldn’t resist reading a story with the unforgettable headline: Paranormal Pornstars. Yep… apparently even the afterlife’s got OnlyFans.

Then another TalkSport visitor — Sam Harries joins me to share spooky stories from his own life, including a very unsettling moment involving dead hands at the end of his bed. No thank you!

And to round things off, a little teaser from Barry from Watford and his chat with football legend Gabi Agbonlahor on his new TalkSport podcast.

As ever — plenty of laughs, a few shivers, and just the right amount of spiritual nonsense.

My spectral spectators, welcome back! 🌙

Linda's gone full telly addict this week — obsessed with Married at First Sight Australia... a show I’m convinced was summoned from some kind of chaotic spirit realm. From there, we fall deep into Naked Attraction chat (steady!) and come up with some brilliant new reality TV formats of our own. Believe me, this is why Linda gets paid the big bucks — all £7 an hour of them.

Then we chat about my recent trip to Amsterdam... to watch our very own Glowe perform. Turns out, the welcome over there for us Brits these days is... well, frosty. I'll tell you all about it.

This week’s spooky contributions come from all over — starting with Tara Burns, who sent in an article about a tarot curse (I’m sure we’ve seen this one before, but the spirits like a repeat).

Then a ghostly tale from Kaz Hazelwood… followed by an interview with Tracey Graham about things that go bump in the night.

We chat about our upcoming shows too:

👻 Sunday Séance at The 100 Club — 7th Sept

🎙️ Cheerful Earful Podcast Festival — 19th Oct

Come see us live! Spirits willing…

More chills as we read from Life Saving Spirit in Take A Break Fate & Fortune… and I chat to Archie Orme — that's right, the lad from Glowe’s band — about his very own spooky experience.

Plus — a little bonus this week — the trailer for Barry from Watford’s brand new podcast on talkSPORT, including a clip of Barry chatting to Watford legend Troy Deeney. Lovely stuff.

    May 23 2025

    Greetings, my spectral spectators!

    Yes, that’s right—it’s Series 8, Episode 8.

This week, I channel my inner news anchor, kicking off the episode with a rundown of the headlines. Expect chaos, confusion, and at least one mention of paranormal parking violations.

🧑‍🍳 Back in the studio, Linda (begrudgingly!) tells us all about retro cooking—dishes like fish, mash and parsley sauce that haven’t seen the light of day since the 80s school dinner tray.

Naturally, this opens the floodgates for Clinton’s Retro Food Hour, as we go full Delia meets Derek Acorah.

👂 Then we get into it:

    • Whispered Warnings – a woman hears ghostly messages before disaster strikes.
    • Pub Spirits – the classic tale of a haunted local. Grab a pint and prepare for goosebumps.
    • Vicky Leith – who INSISTS her story isn’t spooky. Spoiler: it is. We investigate in two parts, and it gets… tense.
    • The Ghost Called John (and the Mystery of the Parking Space) – possibly the most British haunting ever.

🔮 We hit the Problem Pages, tackling paranormal conundrums with the usual spiritual sass.

🏛️ I speak to Marie Claire from Ilkley’s Kings Hall, who shares a haunting that might make you think twice before ignoring creaky floorboards.

🐞 Then: a story of the Death Watch Beetle (not a goth band—though it should be), and we catch up with Sam Redmond from Factory Live for more strange goings-on.

There’s retro nonsense, ghostly warnings, and haunted parking bays... and if that doesn’t tick all the boxes, I’ll eat my ectoplasmic hat.

    Listening now... if you dare.

    Clint x
