  • Resumen

  • City Cast Philly is the daily news podcast about the city you love (and maybe sometimes hate?) and the Philadelphians who are working hard every day to make this place better. Each weekday morning, host Trenae Nuri will chat with people all across Philly’s diverse neighborhoods about issues that matter to you. Whether that’s what do I even do on the weekends in this city with endless options, or how do I get the bus to actually stop, or how is this city going to keep our kids safe and educated? City Cast Philly is here for it all. It’s that energetic, informative conversation you might overhear at your neighborhood coffee shop. But with City Cast Philly, you’re always welcome to join in.

  • DA Race: Krasner Touts Low Murder Rate & Compares Opponent to Trump
    Apr 30 2025
For our Wednesday politics episode, District Attorney Larry Krasner visits City Cast Philly to make his case for why he deserves a third term as the city’s chief prosecutor. He touts the lowest murder rate in a half-century, compares his opponent to Donald Trump, tells his side of why there hasn’t been a debate in the race, talks about the Eagles’ visit to the White House, discusses the role of George Soros’ money in his campaigns, analyzes the mayor’s “work-in-progress” plan in Kensington, and defends himself from criticism that he doesn’t work well with other elements of law enforcement. His opponent, former Judge Pat Dugan – who rejects any comparison to Trump, by the way – will be on the show next Wednesday, May 7, so stay tuned. The Democratic primary election for district attorney is May 20. Thoughts on the D.A.’s race?
