  • A Righteous King Is Coming to Reign | Day 199
    Jul 18 2025

    Day 199 | Isaiah 30:1–33:24

God calls His people to stop relying on worldly strength and to return to Him. Israel's rebellion brought suffering because they trusted in Egypt instead of God—just as we often place our hope in earthly solutions. But in His mercy, the Lord still extends a powerful invitation: “Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved.” A righteous King is coming—Jesus Christ—who will rule with justice and provide shelter, peace, and salvation for those who wait on Him. These chapters are a sobering yet hope-filled reminder: judgment may come, but grace is always extended.

  • From Ruin to Resurrection: Isaiah Foretells the End | Day 198
    Jul 17 2025

    Day 198 | Isaiah 24:1–27:13; Isaiah 29:1-24

Often called Isaiah’s Apocalypse, today’s reading paints a sobering picture of God’s global judgment on sin, pride, and rebellion. Nations fall, cities crumble, and even the earth itself suffers under the weight of sin. But in the midst of this devastation, Isaiah offers glimpses of hope: God will keep in perfect peace those who trust Him. His people will rise again in joy, and all evil—including the symbol of chaos, Leviathan—will be destroyed. These chapters echo the themes of Revelation and remind us that while judgment is certain, so is resurrection for those who belong to the Lord.

  • Isaiah Prophesies Destruction | Day 197
    Jul 16 2025

    Day 197 | Isaiah 18:1–23:1

Isaiah pronounces judgment on a list of nations—including Ethiopia, Egypt, Babylon, Edom, Arabia, and even Jerusalem. These prophecies remind us that God is not only merciful and gracious, but also holy and just. He uses both nations and nature to carry out His judgment, showing His sovereignty over all creation. Even His chosen people are not exempt—Jerusalem faces condemnation for ignoring God’s call to repentance and choosing revelry over remorse. Yet for those who turn to Christ, the judgment we deserve has already been poured out—bringing us hope instead of wrath.
