  • Creative Accountability Ep. 5 | July Camp NaNo, Novel Edits & Short Story Drafting
    Jul 1 2023

Thank you for listening to another solo episode! Today when this is posted is the first day of Camp NaNoWriMo in July, the month for productivity as a writer! This month I plan to edit my novel with multiple rereads. I go into depth about my process plan on that. Alongside so, I will be drafting a few short stories, which I also talk about in this episode my method for coming up with quick yet thorough story ideas.
I am excited to document yet another month of Camp NaNo and hope you are excited too. It is so cool to look back on the progress and see how my mind changes and grows in a simple month.
Another unique aspect to this month is that I will not be using electronics for any of the writing or editing! I plan to do my rereads of my novel using the printed out novel, a notebook, sticky tabs, and pens for annotations. I got some thin notebooks as well for first drafts of short stories, so this is full of handwriting and grounding myself back into pure writing! I am definitely pulling a Neil Gaiman on myself, so let's see how this goes.
