Christianity from the 16th - 21st Century

Joshed Raw (Josh) gives a crash course into influences in Christian thought and doctrine in the United States from Martin Luther in 1517 to the 21st century. He talks about the Church of England, separatists and non separatists, and the colonization of America. He discusses how the foundation for evangelicism was laid out during the First Great Awakening, how pluralistic ideologies influenced the creation of the Constitution, and how the Second Great Awakening led to fundamentalist and evangelical movements after the turn of the 20th century. He briefly speaks to the importance of interfaith dialogue and the changing religious landscape which gives insight into how religious and spiritual interpretations are adjusted to accommodate cultural norms and expectations.
