  • If God Has Spoken Why Aren't We Listening: Revelation and the Bible
    Mar 30 2026

What if everything you believe about God is only possible because God chose to reveal Himself?

In this episode of *Doctrine Matters*, we tackle one of the most foundational truths of Christianity: the Bible is the very Word of God. Not just inspired ideas. Not helpful guidance. But God speaking. If that’s true… then everything changes.

We’ll walk through Scripture itself to answer: - Why we can trust the Bible - What it means that Scripture is “God-breathed” - How the Bible is both fully human and fully divine - Why ignoring Scripture is ultimately rejecting God Himself This isn’t just theology—it’s authority, obedience, and life.

  • The Resurrection of Jesus: Why It Matters and How True Faith Changes Your Life
    Mar 30 2026

Episode 248 of The Truth Response.

Did Jesus really rise from the dead—and why does it matter for your life today?

In this episode, the hosts of The Truth Response dive into one of the most important questions in all of Christianity: what happened after Jesus’ death? From exploring different theological views about the time between the crucifixion and resurrection to affirming the reality of the empty tomb, the conversation centers on the truth that the resurrection is the foundation of the Christian faith.

But the discussion doesn’t stop at theology. It challenges listeners to move beyond simply knowing the truth and into living it out. What does it look like to have a faith that actually transforms your life? How do we grow as disciples, live with purpose, and walk in gratitude every day?

Clarity in chaos. Bringing hope to a chaotic world.

This episode is a call to not just believe in the resurrection—but to live in light of it.

What do you do with a movie that asks whether someone should become one of them to save them, then wraps that question in the bright, furry chaos of Hoppers? Scored by Mark Mothersbaugh, the film offers more than its cute surface suggests. In this episode, we examine the movie’s incarnation echo and how its hopping premise approaches questions of knowing and saving. We also confront the thornier issue of anthropomorphism, which only grew more bothersome the longer we considered it. From there, we question the familiar lie that everyone is good deep down, and the related promise that letting go of anger is easier when you believe you are part of something bigger.

    Takeaways:

    • The Pixar movie Hoppers presents an intriguing narrative that prompts a critical analysis through a biblical lens.
    • A significant theme of the film revolves around the concept of becoming one with to save one, aka, the parable of the birds, an important step toward understanding the incarnation of Christ
    • The portrayal of anthropomorphism in Hoppers raises important questions about the representation of animal intelligence and social structures.
    • The underlying message suggests that without a biblical worldview, audiences may may walk away from the film indoctrinated by a false worldview.
    • The film's protagonist embodies a journey of personal growth, but there is concern about the influence of Asian philosophy on the underlying theme of her journey.
    • The discussion highlights the necessity of parental guidance in interpreting the film's themes to ensure children understand its moral complexities.

  • Sanctify Christ as Lord | Sanctify Christ as Lord in Mercy
    Mar 30 2026

In Episode 21 of Sanctify Christ as Lord, we step into the tension between truth and compassion and see what it really means to live under Christ’s Lordship in mercy. Scripture calls us to exercise right judgment, but it also reminds us that mercy must triumph. The gospel does not produce people who ignore sin, nor does it produce people who condemn without compassion. It produces people who speak truth, confront sin, and still extend grace because they themselves have received it.

If Christ is truly Lord, then our posture toward others must reflect His heart. Truth without mercy becomes cruelty, and mercy without truth becomes compromise, but in Christ we see both perfectly united. We are called to be people who restore, not destroy, who pursue holiness without losing compassion, and who remember that we stand before God only because of His mercy.

    Mar 30 2026

This episode is part 30 in a series going through the story of the Book of Mormon.

This episode covers chapters 47-51 of the book of Alma. A Nephite rebel named Amalickiah with a lust for power tries but fails to become king of Zarahemla. He then joined the Lamanites and worked his way through fraud to become the king of the Lamanites. He then led war campaigns to attack Nephite cities.

Captain Moroni skillfully fortified cities, deterring Lamanite attacks and providing a few years of peace and prosperity. Eventually, Amalickiah led a large army and successfully took over some Nephite cities. However, one night, a Nephite captain executed a stealth mission on Amalickiah while the armies slept.

  • Are You Truly Committed to Christ? The Subtle Signs and Dangers of Lukewarm Faith, Part 1
    Mar 28 2026

Welcome to another episode of One Little Candle! In today’s conversation, Rebecca is joined by her friend and special guest co-host, Paige Cervantes, for an honest exploration into what it really means to have a "lukewarm" faith. Drawing from Jesus’ words to the church in Laodicea in Revelation, the episode digs deep into why being lukewarm in your spiritual walk might actually be more dangerous than outright rejection of faith.

Together, Rebecca and Paige talk through what lukewarm Christianity looks like in everyday life. In this both challenging and encouraging episode, they share personal reflections and biblical truths along with practical examples.

If you’ve ever wondered if you—or someone you love—might be growing complacent in their walk with God, this is an episode that offers both a wake-up call and a pathway back to authentic, passionate faith.
