On July 5, tragedy struck Southeast D.C. when 3-year-old Honesty Cheadle was fatally shot while sitting in a parked car with her family after watching Fourth of July fireworks. The shooting occurred around 3 a.m. on the 1000 block of 14th Street SE. Washington, DC.
