  • CN Legends: Genndy Tartakovsky
    Nov 14 2025

How did a modest Russian boy who couldn't even draw a circle end up being one of the cornerstones of Cartoon Network as a Master Storyteller? All great journeys have a humble beginning to their adventure, and this man is no exception.

Today BDubs examines the highs and lows of the legacy that makes Genndy Tartakovsky such a remarkable man in not just Cartoon Network history but Animation history too. You might find out he's worked on shows you may not have expected, but definitely watched growing up in the 90s-Now. From Star Wars to Batman, this man has done it all, and yet, he continue to animate and produce new projects today.

  • Comparing Spooky CN Halloween Crossovers
    Oct 31 2025

Zoinks! Did you see that crazy ghost with the red rear?

I'd imagine The Red Guy would scare Shaggy silly if they ever met. For Halloween, BDubs hitches a ride with the Mystery Machine with his trusty candy pail and sporting his best human being costume as he compares not one but TWO spooky 90s Cartoon Network crossover episodes: Johnny Bravo's "Bravo Dooby-Doo" and Cow & Chicken's "Halloween with Dead Ghost Coast to Coast". It's an odd pairing, to say the least, but the exercise will reveal many elements of each that you may not have considered upon watching them for the first time.

Which one will bewitch us with their creepy concepts? Kick back with me in front of the TV under a stormy night - things are about to get spooky.

  • Mike Lu & Og Retrospective
    Jul 13 2025

Summer is in full-swing, and while many tropical or exotic destinations are packed to the brim with tourists, BDubs has decided to go somewhere more... remote - an island where nobody knows or goes but is concealing a certain show.

Join me as we look under the hood of this short-lived, often forgotten hidden gem of the second wave of Cartoon Cartoon series on Cartoon Network where we'll meet some island inhabitants, learn about the history of the show, and why it still matters within the context of Cartoon Network's legacy. • Banned Cartoon Network Episodes
    Jul 9 2025

Just what the F**k is happening here? Well, BDubs recently found a collection of nearly forgotten, offensive episodes that pushed the envelope too far on Cartoon Network and were promptly removed from their programming schedule... that is, until now. Let's crack open the vault and remove all the censor bars to witness the beauty and the horror of these "too edgy for kids tv" episodes across various Cartoon Network shows to conclude if they are still just as bada$$ as they are today, or if they have been watered down to plain milk toast due to time and a shift in cultural norms.

What is your take on any of these scandalously banned episodes?

  • Time Squad: Betsy Ross Flies Her Freak Flag
    Jul 4 2025

Democracy is a term thrown around a lot lately, mainly whenever it's threatened in countries collapsing under the weight of unfettered capitalistic greed. But what if our forefathers chose not to fight for it in our most pivotal time in history?

Today, BDubs zaps himself back to the Revolutionary War along with Otto, Larry, and Toddrussel to straighten out history's timeline before everything gets too twisted in tye-dye, no thanks to a groovier version of the historic seamstress. We'll cover episode info, trivia, ratings, memories and more, all before the war is over. Ready for battle? Let's load up our checkered cannons and let freedom of expression ring!

Oh, you little piggy! Hope you're hungry for a 3-hour block of cartoons because BDubs is serving up a super-sized portion of programming block info!

Today, we sink our teeth into why this character got us gobbling up both classic and fresh cartoons long before the term "binge watching" came into being. I'll also share with you some of my own memories of watching Super Chunk back in the 90s and try out some trivia from its segments for those who want to play along as you listen.

  • Favorite 2 Stupid Dogs Episodes
    Jun 20 2025

The premise is simple: Two dogs getting into too much trouble while searching for food and shelter. Is it any wonder a cartoon series like this still sticks in-between the folds our nostalgic brains decades later? Donovan Cook's cartoon may have taken inspiration from Ren & Stimpy, but there's still something unique about seeing an energetic little Dachshund and a lethargic Sheep Dog navigate the weaving paths of life together, come hell or high water. proving that even with no grandiose goal in mind, these canine characters can still have fun and make us laugh along the way.

In honor of 2 Stupid Dogs, BDubs follows the mischievous mutts through fairy tale houses and movie sets today to remember which of their antics still resonate with him in this recollection of favorite episodes. Plus, he'll cough up a couple of honorable mentions and reflect in the pet shop window why it matters in the context of Cartoon Network history.

Despite Mr. Hollywood's advice, I don't think there's anything WRONG with giving this underappreciated show some love *cue foghorn noise *
