Kasia's mother Wensa suddenly shows up at the gate of the tower. Kasia has been taken into the Wood by vicious creatures called walkers. The Dragon tells Agnieszka that her dear friend is no more, that there's nothing she can do and to send her mother back home to Dvernik to mourn. Kasia decides to defy the Dragon and heads into the Wood to find Kasia.
