Acerca de esta escucha
This episode is a recording of a live episode from the Storytelling Podcast Week live program.
...
For May, Storytelling Podcast Week featured a live panel on "Celebrating Asian Voices" for our monthly live episode with co-founder of the Asian American Podcasters Association and host of the "House of NYC" podcast, Lee Uehara, John Zhu of the "Water Margin" and "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" podcasts, and host Motzie Dapul of the "Hi Nay" podcast as they discussed what representation and having their stories centered means to them!
In this episode they'll get into each of their podcasts and how they’ve gotten into podcasting, how has being an AAPI creator influenced their work along with what storytelling traditions and themes they're sharing that may not be previously showcased within media and storytelling.
Lee also shared about the Asian American Podcasters Association, and the group gets into general excitements and challenges as podcasters in addition to how media overall is evolving to become more inclusive.
Listen in to hear their stories, how their shows started, discuss what narratives and what themes and perspectives are within their shows.
