    MLB Award Season is underway and the Caught Em Looking podcast is talking all about it.   • The World Series is Over but Baseball Continues!

    The World Series is over and the Dodgers prevailed as the champions for the second year in a row! [5:32] This week we recap the amazing Game 7 played between the Dodgers and Blue Jays, including the insane double-plays. While we both agree that the Dodgers are amazing, there are many questions for what's next for the seasoned team. [9:50] Then we review the MLB awards for 2025, and Jordan shares his predictions for National League and American League MVP winners. While the AL MVP race is tight, the NL MVP race could use some further consideration. Cy Young races are underway as well, and we share our predictions for who will prevail (spoiler: we are all in on Paul Skenes). [29:02] We wrap up the award season talk with a quick recap of the Manager of the Year awards [31:52] and the recently announced Gold Glove winners. [39:00] Finally, we get into the frenzy of free agency, with many players across the league opting in and out of their contracts. With some of the top players in the league (and one hot international candidate) electing free agency, the next few months in the MLB are sure to be exciting.

    It is finally time for the Fall Classic! The World Series starts this week, and the Caught Em Looking podcast is here to talk about it. [1:00] Jordan starts us off recapping the historic performance by Shohei Ohtani in the last game of the NLCS, leading the LA Dodgers back to the World Series for the second year in a row. [10:24] Then we quickly recap the electric seven game series between the Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays, which saw the Blue Jays prevailing and returning to World Series for the first time since 1993. [16:20] Jaela then briefly chats about the importance of good coaching decisions, especially in these pivotal games, [26:50] before sharing her many thoughts on the rumored salary cap and overall team spending on payroll. In short, the Dodgers are NOT ruining baseball!   • The Mariners Are On The Move

    The MLB Championship series are underway, which means the World Series is right around the corner. [3:07] Starting with the National League Championship Series (NLCS) between the Dodgers and Brewers. The Dodgers starting rotation is looking pretty strong, and we discuss if there is a true ace in LA. [12:45] On the other hand, the bullpen for the Dodgers may be as shaky as it was in previous post-season appearances. Jordan and Jaela chat about Roki Sasaki’s consistency problems and overall resiliency in the MLB. [22:42] Looking towards the American League Championship Series, the Mariners having been steadily building momentum over the last week. Jordan and Jaela discuss the latest Mariners games, including a historic 15-inning game against the Tigers. [23:30] After a quick movie talk detour, where we agree Marvel is better than DC, we jump back in to the current series between the Blue Jays and Mariners. Jordan gives predicitions for who is advancing and who is taking it all. [39:45] Finally, we check in on the resident crash-outs, the San Diego Padres, and a suspension for bad behavior after the Wild Card Series.
