    Jul 22 2025

In this episode I speak with Lisa Thomas whose journey is extraordinary. Lisa from the streets of Washington DC, she overcame alcohol and drug addiction, prostitution, abortion, and incarceration. She is a former radio talk show host and a current author of three books. We discuss the possibilities of Getting Back on Track with God. No matter how far we think we might be from God, he is close by waiting to help us reestablish our relationship with him. We briefly discuss one of her books, Light in Our Darkness. You can visit her website at www.lisakratzthomas.com to purchase her books and learn more about her speaking engagements.

Lisa has worked with the Virginia Department of Corrections, leading reentry seminars statewide. She speaks nationwide to correctional institutions, corporations, churches, universities, and nonprofits. From surviving the streets of Washington, D.C., to becoming a member of a Senate Sub-Committee on prisoner reentry in Virginia, Lisa's life embodies 2 Corinthians 5:17, and she lives in Richmond, Virginia, with her husband Tom, of 33 years, their two children, and an expectant daughter-in-law.

  • Saints for Sinners Ep #2 Servant of God
    Apr 1 2025

In today’s episode we have our second conversation with Msgr Benwell around how to live out our call to be saints. In this episode we begin to discuss the process of Canonization. We begin discussing the first step toward Canonization called Servant of God. We talk about the relevancy of this first step not only for that individual but also how it can relate to our own lives. As you listen to the conversation, we hope it encourages you to look further into the lives of those who are currently considered Servants of God. Learning about their lives can be just as important as learning about those who have been Canonized.
