And as we try and figure out which year is the closest analog to our current moment in history (1932, 1938, 1942 were all potential guesses), we look at things thru the light of a time when America rose to the challenge and proved the good we were capable of, in the Ingrid Bergman and Humphrey Bogart political-romantic classic, Casablanca!
