The Marine Officer's primary operational responsibilities are to ensure the Port's marine activities operate safely and efficiently. The role of the Marine Officer is to assist with regulation of shipping, cargo operations, hydrographic surveys, port security, environmental controls, pilotage operations, pilot boat maintenance, port estate maintenance, statutory compliance and reporting, port projects, development and planning.
