First up—the Policy and Practice Forum is hosting a session on Maternal and Child Health today, October 27, from 4 to 5 p.m. It's a great opportunity to dive into pressing public health issues. Next, if you're considering a career in consulting, especially with a pre-health background, don't miss "Health Meets Strategy: Consulting Careers for Pre-Health Students" tonight from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Goizueta Business School, Room 234. And, for those eyeing an MBA, there's an online class visit to Goizueta's Evening MBA program tonight at 6:15 p.m. It's a chance to experience a class firsthand and interact with current students. Over the weekend, our men's soccer team faced tough competition, hosting No. 12 UChicago on Friday and No. 3 WashU on Sunday. The team is coming off a statement win against NYU last Saturday, beating the Violets 6-3 to win their first conference match of the season. Adeyemi Oni and Lorenzo Avalos led the Eagles, scoring two goals apiece. On the women's side, our top-ranked team hosted No. 3 UChicago for Homecoming on Friday and No. 2 WashU on Sunday for Senior Day. They recently secured a 5-0 shutout against Maryville, marking their sixth consecutive shutout. Michelle Davidson kicked things off with an early goal, and Emory Bozzuti added two more to the tally. Looking for a unique experience? The Michael C. Carlos Museum is hosting ceramic artist Kukuli Velarde on Sunday, October 27, at 2 p.m. She'll discuss her art practice, which delves into cultural patrimony and historical hybridity.
